Local Attractions
One of my favorite places in Seattle is The Palm Room. They have amazing displays, SO many plants that I have never seen before, and they now offer how-to tutorials! Check them out in Ballard...and say hi to their store puppy Jack.
When in Clearview I always try to head to FlowerWorld. This nursery has a HUGE selection of plants for indoor and outdoor projects. I am always impressed by the quality of the plants that I find here. They must all have good roots.
Downtown has a great shop called Young Flowers, I often wait for the bus on the corner of 3rd and Spring St., and I love staring at their wonderful Jade trees!

Commensalism
In commensalism, one organism benefits from the relationship while the other is neither helped nor hurt. Imagine a few orchids growing epiphytically on a tree. If there are a lot of commensals on a single host then it stands to reason that the host will be hurt and the relationship will slide towards the parasitic.
